Welcome back!

Oooooohhhh what a lovely Christmastime dearest loves. Fabulous. It felt a little bit sad just because things become that way as you grow older... But here's some things I want to share with you all from my holiday, if that is ok with y-o-u dolls.

I hung out with family and worked on gifts for a long long time. I made my mother a scrapbook of our fun times together, complete with writing on paper doilies and pastel backgrounds... Then I made my lovely dad a frame with a picture of us in it from our trip to Chicago, (writing something special about that magical city soon), as well as a 'ticket' on pretty paper for an afternoon movie and icecream for him and I. I glued a little picture of us on it from when I was a teeny tiny tot and gave him a clear bag of popped popcorn with it. (get it? you eat popcorn at a movie, silly!) Finally for my little brother, I made him a 5 minute movie full of movie clips of skateboarders, with 1980's music in the background. Lets just say he flipped out a little bit. :D

oh my waffles and little fluffy puppies! look at this LOOT! there is more than that too! goodness gracious, i do not deserve it all... there is a sparkly purple cardigan, a shiny lavender scarf, a book by my favorite woman EVER Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy, or SARK, (http://www.planetsark.com/), Be Ok by Ingrid Michaelson, Wild Like Children by Tilly and the Wall (not a huge fan of this... thoughts?), Lenka's latest CD, a pop art-y notebook which I love, pink nail polish, a cupcake full of lotion and chapstick (!!!), Extra Classic Bubblegum, and Across the Universe!!!!! I almost fell over on Christmas morning. Then ALSO, (isn't this amazing?), bright pink lipstick, some nail polish including MINT GREEN, and a sticker maker. Going to make a lot of stickers and perhaps sell them...Kris Kringle and my dearest family and friends have treated me well... Kisses to ALL.

I'm addicted to food that I shouldn't be right now, haha. Lots of fudge and little baked delights, and these tiny artificial Christmas tree cakes... Oh yummy. Here's LUCKY magazine and some magical treats from Chiclet. They are from a while ago, but I thought it was a good time to share... She just showed up by my locker with a little plastic container full of peppermint patties, little ornaments, and Christmas themed erasers... Going to her house tomorrow. Does anyone have any inspirational ideas of something we could do in the cold? She has a lake beach by her house that I'm thinking about walking to with a quilt and some cupcakes... :)
I just made this last night for my lovely lovely Inspiration Diva (her official title, of course). Oh what a magical lady. HERO of LIFE. She loved it... :) Do you guys like it? I've never really shared my art here before, so I'm feeling a little vulnerable!

I'm going to copy the amazing Gala Darling (http://www.galadarling.com/) and share whats in my bag this New Year's Eve...

:D cannot wait.
in myyyy bag? (andy WARHOL bag, of course.)
-watercolors (haha not sure why, I just always have them in my bag)
-strawberries (adddddicted)
-tiara (complete with pink jewels)
-pink compact bear mirror (one word: adorable)
-journal (for phone numbers and resolutions, silly)
-barbie polaroid camera :)
-glamourazzi perfume (so cheap but yummmmmy)
-phone
-bright pink lipstick
-cupcake (does this even NEED justification? idts)
-strawberry sneaks (for when your feet hurttttt at 11:59PM)
-BOTTLED coca cola (soooo oldschool)
What are you guys packing? I'm actually not doing anything super-fun. I wish I was... having a party with Chiclet and guy-bff Jonathan... But I have family plans, which, you know... Yeah. Oh well. Its a party anyway I suppose. :)
Honorable Mentions this week: Still haven't gotten typewriter or Pink Ladies jacket--I'll keep ya posted. Your postcards will be out SOON I pinky swear (life has just been too crazy)! My darling sparkles tagged me for 6 things that make me happy, but I've already done it... thanks anyway dear! (http://stardustsparkle.blogspot.com/)...Rosie Posie Rosie and Blue Ring have given me an amazing Best of The Blogs Award... As you can see beautifully in my sidebar. You all spoil me rotten!
I'm going to tag 8 other little kittens whom I love with a passion:
Gala (http://www.galadarling.com/) (Not sure if you accept awards, but you sure deserve it!)

Well, that's about it this week! Going to leave you with a quick doodle I did and some more how-to's... Remember to work on those Secret Fairy Wishes! Lenore did an EXCELLENT job at it but I still want to see the rest of yours' too! Kisses...
-Did you know you can watch t.v. online? Haha I'm so behind the times... I've been spending the cold weather in my pink cupcake pj's watching 30 Rock and The Office...
-Go to an antique store or thrift store and find a cute teaset that calls your name. Even if you have to get a few different random cups that don't match and an old kettle. A girl MUST have her own teaset. Just fill it up with yummy tea, especially blooming (see two posts ago!)
-Draw, sew, or paint on a pair of your shoes. Its fun and you'll get a lot of compliments, plus, wearing something you made always feels good! Confidence burst? I think SO.
Happy New Years!
xoxo Sprinkle

Snowflake Headbands & Blooming Tea

Oh my golly, have a holly-jolly Christmas this year! THREE-MORE-DAYS until Christmas Eve! Yum yum, hot cocoa, gifts, family, and vintage music blasting through the speakers...
Hanging stockings of little ones by the fire and leaving cookies and milk by the fire for ol' Kris Kringle... I've been spending my days hibernating in my room, waiting for packages and purchases to arrive, eating disgusting amounts of chocolate, and watching 30 Rock, Ellen, and The Office...

My postcards should arrive from their etsy seller by tommorrow or the next day, and I'll send them as soon as possible. There are 3 left I think... (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see my last post...) And if there are more than 3 people that want one I'll make a copy of the image and send it to you in an envelope :)

The delightful Belle (http://youaremyanchor.blogspot.com/) has given me a fun little
tag!
The rules are :
1. Go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store your
pictures.

2. Pick the 4th picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 people to do the same!

Well, here's my picture:

There isn't really a lot to explain about it... I just have had an obsession lately with the 1920s-30s, especially after reading The Great Gatsby in English class. I love the clothes, the hair, the
music... I even have swing music on my mp3 now... LOVE.
I tag:
Chloe (http://heartshapedmorning.blogspot.com/), Lottie (http://theteadrinkingenglishrose.blogspot.com/), Stevanny (http://notebookdoodles.blogspot.com/), and Sabrina (http://anywhere-dreams.blogspot.com/)!

Enjoy, kids... Also, I decided to do a play on Lottie's idea of wearing snowflakes in my hair...

So... I made a new headband so it stays always in place! I just used a plastic snowflake ornament... Thanks for the inspiration!

Also, I was watching Marie Antoinette yesterday, which is SUCH eye-candy! And I saw this part again about the blooming tea...
video

I made that little video to show the clip... I want some so badly! Ebay has some but I need to stop spending so much... Oh well, a girl can dream, no? Has anyone ever had any? Thoughts? Also, I've been wondering... Can I save the flowers after drinking? Oh so dreammmmmy...

I wanted to continue on with the ideas of things to do that I wrote last week... We'll call them Dear Diary Moments! But this week for a special Christmas-version, instead of things to do, how about last minute gift ideas? Eh? I THINK SO. So:

-Find a glass jar and fill it with some glitter. Cut out paper hearts and write little notes on each. (i.e. lyrics, poetry, fun things to do (see last post), or anything you like...) Throw in a
gift card if you've got money to spend, or just a bag of cookies or little treats tied up in a bow.

-One word: CD. It means so much to me, at least, when I recieve homemade CDs. Fill them up with Christmas songs or songs with a catchy, upbeat feel... Quick and easy!

-BAKE. Its fun and tasty! Show up with an iced cupcake, and if you're feeling superwoman-y, bake a tiny note inside (not too tiny!) or add a lit candle on top... (Sprinkles, of course, complete the idea.)

-Draw a cute design and color it, then 'laminate' it with clear tape on both sides! Hot glue a pin-back onto it (craft supply stores carry these) and you have an INSTANT BROOCH. Not an artist? Print out an image.

I hope I could help! :) I'll leave you now with some Christmas movie stills, both from IMDB... (Elf and Rudolph)

Farewell, Christmas wishes, and I hope you all have a very bright and wonderful, Polar Express-like Christmas! May all your snowy wishes come true and fairy lights twinkle your nights...
KISSES!

my darling real-life best friends got me gifts this week! (and i to them too, of course!) oh they know me all too well. Andy Warhol is my HERO of LIFE! My idol! I loveee him. Not pictured here, but Taste This by Ellen Degeneres! OH, MY, GOODNESS! I love Ellen! I cannot wait to listen to it, she is just so funny...

Speaking of gifts and good friends! My dearest little English faun, Lottie, sent me the most delightful package today! -excited giggles- On the outside it said something like "Fragile: Full of gifts, secrets, and pixie dust. Handle with such care and love." (Sorry if thats exactly right, I threw the package away!) When I opened it, so much glitter fell out that I left a trail behind me for the rest of the day! Inside there were a bunch of snowflakes, which are hanging from my ceiling fan, as pictured. (My room is so cultured! It has FOREIGN SNOWFLAKES! Tee hee!) And also, some amazing watercolor paintings and a fabulous note, as well as some things not pictured including: 3 silver sparkly buttons, (making them into earrings!), some tiny bows, a beautiful dollie ornament, and stickers galore! YES! I love you Lottie! If anyone else wants to be my package pal, again, EMAIL ME! I love this kinda stuff!

Baby its cold outside... Snow falling delicately on our pretty lashes...

Its another snow day today. I actually didn't want one because now we have 5 finals tomorrow alone instead of the original 3... First of all, here's some things that have been making my day...
I finally have all of my Christmas shopping done for Chiclet... But I have a lot left for everyone else, haha...
We both love the Progressive Insurance commercial with FLO! "Yeah! Or a big, tricked-out nametag!" So I made her a nametag like Flo's....
And my windowsill has been looking awfully festive lately... Thought I'd share...
Awww. Life is good. Stressful, but good... Are there any suggestions from you guys of how I could make my blog better? Feautures I could do?

And on the topic of Secret Fairy Wishes, I know I mention it a LOT but its like my little baby, and I really want it to take off! I'd love for you guys to all be a part of it! Please?
Post a comment on secretfairywishes.blogspot.com if you do it, ok?
Love you guys... Here's some extra little photos I've been taking lately for the holidays that I thought I would share with everyone.... But again, I feel like I'm lacking some serious substance and I'm starting to doubt my blogging skills... Suggestions?
I want to send you guys Christmas/New Year's cards! I know its kind of late, but email me your address and I'll send a special little something along your way...
[dr seuss fanatic at yahoo dot com]
Please don't spam up my inbox!

Here's what's on my Christmas list this year... What's on yours?
Books by Sabrina Ward Harrison, pretty knee high socks, a good jean jacket in a pastel color, (I have a pink one that I wear oh-so-much and I need another color!), a sequined hoodie, bright colored clogs from delia's, polaroid film, (if anyone lives somewhere where its cheap, let me know! if you can send some my way I'll pay you!), Taste This by Ellen Degeneres, Wild Like Children by Tilly and The Wall, Be Ok by Ingrid Michaelson, (all CD's), a hamster, yellow keds, geek glasses, a Pink Ladies jacket, (like from Grease), mint green nail polish, plaid button up in a pretty color, Queen Latifah Covergirl Mascara, stuff on my etsy wishlist, (http://www.etsy.com/favorite_listings_public.php?user_id=6145281), stick-on earrings, m&m's, cute cardigans...

Ohhhh I think this was the best day ever. It was a snow day, and a magical one, too. I slept in until 9:00AM and went downstairs to play in the snow! (You're never too old...) Then I turned on Annie with Carol Burnett while baking chocolate chip cookies... Finally I looked at the clock and found out that it was 3:00! Time for Ellen! :)
It was an excellent day, especially when Chiclet and I went out for french fries at 10:00 at night... :) What a fairytale...
Here's some pictures from my day...

All aboard the polar express...

Just ate rice krispie treats and watched The Polar Express... (Tomorrow Lottie, I'll make your gifts and send them out Tuesday or Wednesday!) Oh this was a fun weekend. On Friday Chiclet dearest came over and we went antiqueing, then we came home and watched Ellen...
Here's what I bought:

A Shirley Temple framed photo, a Renoir wall plague, (sp?), and a flowered headband. (Hanging on the shirley picture...)
And then this delightful wallet came in the mail from Tiny Meat (http://www.tinymeat.com/). I love it so much. Its adorable. Featuring the art of Emily Martin! (http://theblackapple.typepad.com/)

Oh what a good weekend. I also decorated my pink Christmas tree...

It has little vintage paperdolls and plastic snowflakes and butterflies in it...
I know this is a short post but I promise the next one will be better... :)
And I'm so excited to see what everyone comes up with for Secret Fairy Wishes.
Enjoy your week,
Sprinkle
